There was something about the way that static crackling in the atmosphere made it entirely come rushing back to me. Beneath a swirl of roiling storm clouds, an intense pressure built, unbearable, like air being sucked out of lungs. Standing on an arc of stone bridge spanning the river, hard pain hammers fissures from skull to pubic bone. Every day I miss your scent. Everything around me reminds me of you since you've went. My heart is a sparrow wanting to open its wings to fly but only settles onto a branch, with nowhere to go. Hazy Winter morning sunlight sparkles on snowdrifts. Diamond-like fairy lights frozen therein. Footprints, bird prints, patterns in the snow. Who has all went here where I now go? I am curious. I am weary of the dragged fly-legged scrawl that bangs against your haughty jutted heart. Little cramped words written in moon spattered midnights. The last breath of Summer's sigh. Murmurs from treetops up high. My bare feet dig into spongy grass squishing dewdrops smash smash. Wind playing in hair. This moment belts out a tune all gusto and flair. Celebrating a Hail and Farewell. Bring it on Autumn you rebel! I affix my gaze where daydreams laze. Dragons float by while puffy sheep graze.
